The Zonte’s Footstep Lake Doctor Vineyard is on the shores of Lake Alexandrina where, each summer afternoon the house-cooling breeze of our ‘Lake Doctor’ arrives and revives vines and vignerons alike. We have released this blend form the Lake Doctor Vineyard each vintage since 2003.

Shiraz Viognier smells like a ladies handbag and tastes like a man’s wallet. Drink with anything off the BBQ, and especially a second glass.

James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2016, p. 755

“One of three identically labelled regional wines, the others McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley, the making virtually identical, focused on the rich fruit each wine has, but tempered by the dictates of the region. Here there is the essential soft mid-palate fruit of Langhorne Creek, but it also has an admirable degree of finesse.”

Mainfreight World’s Greatest Shiraz Challenge X

A very together wine that needs plenty of time. Red fruit fragrances lift off the nose with some green notes and layers of cherry-like flavours with fine drying tannins.

Ray Jordan, West Australian, 9th February 2016, p. 24

“The influence of a small amount of viognier brings this excellent little wine to life, especially on the nose with those apricot and gingery overtones. The palate is smooth and seamless with savoury earthy fruit flavours. Nice balance with a good long finish.
