Canto di Lago, translates to ‘Song of the Lake’ , referring to the vineyard where this wine started from. Located next to the shores of Lake Alexandrina in Langhorne Creek. Our vignerons claim that the sound of the gently lapping water is more beautiful for a vine than any other sound and is the elixir of the Mediterranean grape varieties used in this unique blend. James Halliday Wine Companion 2019
“Sangiovese (75%) dominates the blend, lagrein only contributing 5%. It’s matured in all (used) French oak. It’s more powerful than the blend varieties might imply, its sweet berried fruit flavours tending to the dark side, its spice notes beating the woodsy drums. Assertive tannin continues the robust theme.”
