Zonte’s Footstep “Raises the Bar this Legacy Week”
by supporting families of war veterans

Today, Zonte’s Footstep announces its sponsorship of Legacy Week by donating sales from every bottle of Zonte’s Footstep Z-Force Shiraz sold across the country. Legacy Week, which began in 1942, is Australia’s iconic annual fundraising appeal to raise awareness and funds for the families of our incapacitated and deceased war veterans. Legacy is known for its Badge Day, held during Legacy Week – the iconic badges are presented as a token of appreciation for donations made by the public.

Zonte’s Footstep has supported Legacy SA since 2010 and assists the association with its functions and events. Zonte’s Footstep currently donates 10% of its profits from sales of its Z-Force Shiraz to Legacy SA. But to celebrate Legacy and the amazing work of its members, Zonte’s Footstep will donate an additional $5 for every bottle sold of its premium Z-Force Shiraz during Legacy Week. The wine trade is also part of the sponsorship – Zonte’s Footstep will donate $5 for every six-pack of wine purchased in September.

Zonte’s Footstep came to life through the spirit of collaboration – a collective of like-minded friends formed an independent winery, making South Australian wines with a sense of place and purpose. Zonte’s Footstep shares this spirit of collaboration and the desire to make a difference with Legacy, and its sponsorship shows its commitment to doing even more to help those touched by war.

Brad Rey (Zonte’s Footstep Owner) “It’s our privilege and honour to support those who have done and continue to do so much for this great country”

Funds raised from Legacy Week help the association continue to assist approximately 90,000 widows and 1900 children and people with disabilities Australia-wide, with essential services such as counselling, special housing, medical, advocacy and social support. Public support helps Legacy nurture children’s education by contributing towards school fees, books, uniforms and recreational activities to aid their self-development and confidence.

 About Zonte’s Footstep

Zonte’s Footstep is a proudly independent Australian wine company. We take our vineyards and our wine, but not ourselves, seriously. Zonte’s Footstep was born from a collective group of friends and wine industry know-it-alls. While our opinions and skills are varied, we all share the same passion for producing (and drinking) great wines. Our grapes are sourced from our own and mates’ vineyards, from regions that cough up the best conditions for those grape varieties – the Barossa, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula and further afield in the great state that is South Australia. And therein lies the simple task of making wines with a sense of place and purpose. Zonte’s Footstep wines are available at fine wine retailers and online at www.zontesfootstep.com.au.
